Hoppy Michelada
A bold twist on a classic, this Hoppy Michelada brings a vibrant mix of spice, citrus, and refreshing hops. The chilli–salt rim sets the tone, giving each sip a little kick before you dive into the savoury tomato base enriched with Worcestershire and hot sauce. A splash of tequila adds depth, while Emerson’s Day Tripper Low Carb Hazy IPA brings a crisp, hoppy finish that lifts the whole drink. Fresh lime ties everything together, creating a bright, zesty michelada that’s perfect for sunny afternoons, shared snacks, or any moment that calls for something a little fun and fiery.
Ingredients
Chilli and sea salt
Ice
Tomato juice
30ml tequila
2 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
2 dashes hot sauce
Fresh lime
Method
Mix chilli and sea salt in a small bowl, then rub a lime wedge around the rim of a tall glass or tumbler. Dip the rim in the spice mix.
Fill the glass with ice.
Pour in tomato juice, filling one-third of the glass.
Add 30ml of tequila
Add a couple of dashes of Worcestershire Sauce and a couple of dashes of hot sauce.
Top up with Day Tripper.
Squeeze in two wedges of fresh lime.
